"Am I going to jail" Says a man transporting 68 pounds of Marijuana.

On October 21, 2013 at approximately 1329 hours, an Officer with the Fortuna Police Department contacted a subject later identified as Kristian Erik Mohorovich age 19 of Eureka while he was stopped at the Riverwalk 76 gas station fueling his vehicle. The Officer could smell a strong odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle. Mohorovich was contacted by the Officer.

While talking with Mohorovich the Officer observed five large black garbage bags in the bed of Mohorovich’s vehicle. Mohorovich stated, “Am I going to jail?” Mohorovich then admitted to transporting marijuana for a friend.

Mohorovich was found to be in possession of approximately 68 pounds of Marijuana inside five black garbage bags. He was also found to be in possession of an unloaded Savage .270 Rifle that was in the cab of the truck and a pair of brass knuckles also in the cab of the vehicle. 
Mohorovich was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Jail where he was booked for the following charges:

11360 H&S - Transportation of Marijuana

21810 P.C. - Possession of Metal Knuckles
